Sandtuskers were reptilian scanvengers native to the planet Tatooine that were known for their large tusks, the ridges of bone that protected them, and their toothy maw. The sandtusker's armored form inspired the members of a platoon in the Republic Army's 38th Infantry to name their armored walker the Sandtusker.
