In his only major appearance, he had been hired by Bean the Dynamite to blackmail a casino into letting him play and win as much as he wanted, under threat of K-Boom bombs Bean had planted earlier being detonated. When Sonic and Tails arrived to put a stop to the Dice's game, Tails was tasked with keeping the insect busy while Sonic searched out the bombs. Unfortunately, Tails had a natural gift for Blacksnap and kept winning, which aggravated the Dice so much he ended up detonating the remaining bomb. Sonic, however, was able to contain the explosion within a sonic vortex, and the Dice was quickly arrested afterward. Bean posted bail for the Dice, however, so the insect wouldn't reveal who the plan's real mastermind was.
