Miner Beldin is the first person the player's party meets on the second level of the Nashkel Mines. He is pursued by 4 kobolds which will get spawned upon talking him, no matter what options are chosen. He will leave afterwards. Talking to him oddly updates Important Events in BG:EE with the note about Emerson allowing to enter them. Attacking him beforehands skips the dialogue and kobold spawn, though killing him results in reputation loss and possibly agression from nearby guards.
