He approached the king of Wayrest seeking a trade deal that would allow him to mine for ebony in the Wrothgarian Mountains. Eventually, he left with the Queen of Wayrest, Aliera. Moraelyn was the father of Edward. So far, he has appeared in 15 books in the series.
