Iris Fortner is the female protagonist of Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm. Iris is living in Zey Meruze with Edge Vanhite in her family's workshop. She is currently the only alchemist in Zey Meruze, but also works as a Raider. She is an optimistic but clumsy person who always strives to do her best. She is still a beginning alchemist and raider, but she hopes to one day become a great alchemist. She descends from one of nine powerful alchemists, and it will be revealed that she is the first seal for the Oroborus. She is also the protector of the Escalario.
