Robert Vahey (died 29th October 2013) appeared on Coronation Street as Mr Hope of Mawdsley Street Chapel, who officiated at the wedding of Ernest Bishop to Emily Nugent in April 1972 and conducted the funeral services of Cyril Turpin in March 1974 and Ernest Bishop in January 1978. He also played the recurring role of Mr Cox in the Street spin-off The Brothers McGregor from 1985 to 1987. His other credits include Last of the Summer Wine, Only Fools and Horses and Howards' Way.
