A subscriber is an entity that has applied for and received a certificate from a Certificate Authority. A subscriber can be a human (e.g., an employee or contractor), an organization, an application, a code signer (e.g., digitally signs released software to enable users to authenticate its source, legitimacy, and integrity), or a device (e.g., a web server or VPN server.)
