Haquwel was a male Weequay pirate who worked for and served as bodyguard to the Rodian Maako Tetsu along with his fellow bodyguard Lendi. Tetsu and his pirates including Haquwel became fairly successful and wealthy due to their criminal activities while working out of the planet Lok during the The Clone Wars. One ship they attacked during this period was a Republic transport vessel which drew the Republics attention to their illegal activities and resulted in a squad of clone troopers and the Jedi Pixadia Quen being sent to arrest Tetsu in 19 BBY and bring him back to Coruscant for trial.
