Huebel was born in Alexandria, Virginia. He attended Annandale High School in Annandale, Virginia before attending Clemson University in South Carolina, graduating with a degree in marketing. While attending Clemson University he was a brother of the Kappa Alpha Order. He later moved to New York and began studying improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.
