Ludwick was a Nebulon-B2 frigate under the command of Commander Buckeye and a part of a task force led by Vice Admiral Thrawn. In the Battle on the Frontier, the Ludwick attacked and destroyed a pirate outpost belonging to the Pakuuni Pirates in order to establish a new space installation called NL-1. The frigate also watched over station NL-1 while the Stalwart was arranging for additional support starships personnel.
