As a child actress, Sara Aimson (also credited as "Sarah Aimson"), first appeared in Coronation Street in 1961 playing schoolgirl Patricia Holmes and then returned to the programme as Jennifer Knott, who was Lucille Hewitt's rival for being "Brett Falcon"'s (Walter Potts) number one fan in 1964. As an adult she reappeared on the programme in 1981 playing Dr Sarah Morris, a prosecution witness at the trial of Brian Tilsley for assault. Beyond the Street she played Paula Poulton in over twenty episodes of Z Cars
