Onegano was the enigmatic ronin who joined the fledgling cavalry forces of Morito at the end of the Clan War. He would rarely speak, and never discussed his past, but Morito recognized a kindred spirit, and the two spent much time between the Clan War and War of Spirits developing the techniques of the Ox Bushi school. Onegano went on to serve as the master instructor at the Shiro Morito Dojo. He was stern and unforgiving, but only because that was what an Ox must be to survive.
