Middlesex County Asylum, known as Colney Hatch for its location, was a lunatic asylum in operation at the time of the Goon Show. At the time of its completion in 1851, it was the largest asylum in Europe. It closed in 1993 and was later redeveloped for residential use as Princess Park Manor.
