The Medieval Assembly of European Wizards was a European wizarding organisation operating across continental Europe. They may have had some relation to the International Warlock Convention of 1289, with which a sub-committee of Sardinian sorcerers was involved in September of that year. By the 1980s, this society was still existing in some form, and had awarded Gilderoy Lockhart a "Bravery Against Fantastic Beasts Award", presumably due to his autobiographical series on Defence Against the Dark Arts.
