The First Free Sith War was a massive conflict between the Jedi Order and Sith Order of the galaxy and the Free Sith Empire. The war lasted for 240 years, from 407 ABY to 647 ABY and took the lives of over 2.3 billion people, as many other empires and republics were forced to choose sides. It was the first and least violent of the Free Sith Wars, each being more violent and catastrophic than the last. The First Free Sith War ended with a stalemate and eventually a peace treaty, only to be broken 26 years later. The First Free Sith War may have taken billions of lives, but neither side got anything out of it. Because of this fact, the war was sometimes called the Pointless War.
