The BOQ (or Bachelor Officers' Quarters) were a housing facility for visiting or unmarried resident commissioned officers on a US military base. In July 1947, the United States Army Air Forces detained a farmer who discovered a crashed UFO in Roswell, New Mexico in the bases' BOQ. Since the Army did not have concrete reason to detain him there, Captain Wainwright voiced his concerns about keeping the man there with General Rex Denning. Despite this, Denning ordered Wainwright not to let him leave until he gave the order to release him. (DS9: "Little Green Men")
