Kóstha-mérna (Foot Pool [a lake] in Dwarvish) was the lake in front of the gates of Farthen Dûr. The Varden saved Eragon, Arya, Murtagh, and Saphira from an Urgal attack here. It was situated in Odred Valley and was one of the only entrances into Farthen Dur.
