This ring is known for its unique affix that increases Life regeneration by 7.5-10% of the player's current Life per Second statistic for every 5% of maximum Life lost, up to 75-100% when at half Life. At lower difficulties, it may even keep the player alive under fire, as it will recover more Life per second than one loses from enemy attacks.
