Kids like video games. Kids like card games. Put them together, and you get something that kids will absolutely love, right? No, not really. In fact, the HyperScan is a terrible console. Each game came with some bullshit cards that you had to "scan" (wave over an RFID sensor) to do cool tricks, like... something as basic as choosing your character in a fighting game, so if you lose the card, you're screwed. And the sensor is very unreliable, so that may take several tries. And when you finally get that shit to work, the loading times are so bad that it makes you pine for a Neo Geo CD. Only five titles were ever released for it, all of them horrible.
