The 1966 World 600 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Lowe's Motor Speedway on May 22, 1966. Marvin Panch led 99 of the 400 laps in route to a two-lap victory on G.C. Spencer, Panch's 14th and final career triumph. Eventual season champ David Pearson led much of the event before crashing to 17th. Stats
