Subspace Relay Station 221-A was established to gain a benign Starfleet presence in Ollayan territory. Unlike most subspace relay stations, this one was manned, partly due to the high likelihood scavengers would have stripped it bare. Its small crew included the fiery half-Klingon Ensign Psyche Savage, Security officer, Lieutenant Mishka Alexander from the 21st century, and Lt.
