A police officer arrested Jai Sharma for assault in November 2011 when Cain Dingle reported him after Jai grabs his sister Priya. He then returned a few years later in July 2017 when he arrested Pierce Harris for raping Rhona Goskirk. He then returned in October of that year and broke to Ross and Pete Barton that their mother's body had been found under the Hotten Viaduct.
