Once the Amatsu-Mikaboshi has been unsheathed, Reiko will hold out the blade in front of her, calling out the name of the jutsu. The amatsu sword begins to glow, emanating a white aura, summoning ten spirits that are bound to the sword. Reiko is able to use the summoned spirits to aid her in battle, with a simple gesture from the sword she can command the spirits to either attack an opponent or provide cover for her. Even if she doesn’t issue a command, the spirits are bound to protect the sword at all cost. Out of the one hundred souls that are bound to the sword, once the technique has been invoked Reiko is able to summon ten of them at any time.
