The Lockheed F-117N was a proposed variant of the F-117A Nighthawk stealth attack plane, the famed "stealth fighter". The F-117N was an unsolicited proposal by Lockheed to the US Navy, for a replacement stealthy attack craft to the recently cancelled McDonnell Douglas A-12 Avenger II and U.S. Navy Advanced Tactical Aircraft program. It would have marinized the airplane and beefed up the bulkheads to handle the marine environment and carrier operations.
