Darth Vader was a Sith Lord and the apprentice of the Emperor in approximately 17 BBY. He was the de facto master of Kane Starkiller, the Dark Commander of the Dark Guardians of Lettow, although he later attempted to convince Princess Leia Organa to become his secret apprentice once she began realizing her darker side.
