Andrew Murray is the eldest son of Oliver Murray. He works at the bank in Shrewsbury while Emily studies there, and pursues her with the support of the Murray clan. Emily finds him a terrible bore, nicknames him "r.h.y.m" (red headed young man), and eventually rejects him.
