Kosmos 2436 ( meaning Cosmos 2436) is one of a set of three Russian military satellites launched in 2007 as part of the GLONASS satellite navigation system. It was launched with Kosmos 2434 and Kosmos 2435. This satellite is a GLONASS-M satellite, also known as Uragan-M, and is numbered Uragan-M No. 723. It is part of the GLONASS constellation, in the second plane, orbital slot 11. It started operation on 22 January 2008.
