On the fourth day of November 2008, Monroe County held a general election in conjunction with the nationwide general elections. In this election, Monroe County voters selected a Prosecutor, Sheriff, County Clerk, Drain Commissioner, Surveyor and nine county commissioners. There were 73 precincts in the county for this election.
