Pomet was a member of a group of mercenaries that boarded the USS Enterprise-D during preparations for a baryon sweep in 2369 at Arkaria Base with the intent of stealing trilithium resin. Pomet first worked in with the team in Main Engineering, preparing the trilithium for extraction. After their transport module for the resin was sabotaged by Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Pomet was reassigned to capture him. However, Picard, armed with a crossbow, shot Pomet in the leg with an arrow dipped in a sort of liquid, which knocked him out. He was killed by the baryon sweep. (TNG: "Starship Mine" )
