Police Constable Francis "Taffy" Edwards is a character from the long running ITV drama The Bill. He has been at Sun Hill right from the being (Woodentop) and finally left in January 1990 as a result of asking for a transfer back to Wales. PC Edwards was assured he had made the right decision when Chief Superintendent Charles Brownlow did not know who he was, despite serving with him for 7 years and Chief Inspector Derek Conway didn't even know he still worked at Sun Hill.
