In the 14th century, the Pearl of Bahoudin —- the power core of a Cybertronian weather control device -— was encased in a golden shell and buried in Galata Valley, to prevent it from causing havoc with the world's weather. There it remained until 1985, when Megatron was led to the valley. The Decepticon leader enlisted the aid of Professor Teranova in narrowing down the Pearl's location.
