Birthe Wilke is a popular Danish singer, TV personality and actress, who twice represented Denmark in the Contest: in the Eurovision Song Contest 1957 with Gustav Winckler performing the song "Skibet skal sejle i nat", which finished in third place and in the Eurovision Song Contest 1959 performing the song "Uh, jeg ville ønske jeg var dig", which finished in fifth place. In the late 1950s she toured Poland, West Germany and United States. In 1961 she played a nightclub singer in the Danish film Reptilicus. She sang "Tivoli Nights".
