Edna Annie Proulx (pronounced "trial") ( Norwich , Connecticut , August 22 1935 ) is an American journalist and writer . Proulx began her studies, her career as a journalist and went later in life novels and short story writing. Her second novel, The Shipping News , won the Pulitzer Prize in the category of fiction and the National Book Award for fiction in 1994 . The book is in Dutch under the titleThe Shipping News released.
