Jim Fennerman was an Earth citizen and young newly-wed who's identicard and travel permits were forged by the Mars Resistance while he and his husband Daniel Lane were visiting Mars on their honeymoon. Jim's and Daniel's identities were given to Ranger Marcus Cole and Dr. Stephen Franklin respectively as aliases while they was on Mars negotiating with the Resistance on behalf of Captain Sheridan.
