A Private roleplaying server is a privately run server running a pirated version of the World of Warcraft server software intended for roleplayers, however the enforcement of any roleplaying rules is strictly up to the server administration. It usually also requires a hacked or pirated version of the World of Warcraft client software to access these types of servers. It is both illegal and against the Blizzard Entertainment Terms of Use to run or access a private World of Warcraft server.
