The Empire Star served as the one flagship and battleship for the Sith Lord Darth Duriin. It was heavily armed and larger than most other battleships of the time. However, it was destroyed in a plasma fuel leak which destroyed the whole bottom and back sections of the ship before exploding altogether. It was supposed to be replaced by another ship for the next Sith Lord, that ship being called Empire Star Two, but it was damaged while being created and the construction was never completed.
