The 1954 Wilkes County 160 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at North Wilkesboro Speedway on April 4, 1954. Gober Sosebee dominated the early stages, leading 112 laps, but had mid-race issues that forced him to 12th. Instead, Dick Rathmann held of Herb Thomas by twenty seconds for his second straight victory. Eventual season champ Lee Petty finished 5th. Stats
