To the other soldiers, he was seen as a brave and stalwart NCO and he kept Craftsman Weams on track. Unfortunately, he was the unwitting puppet of the Intelligence. (TV: The Web of Fear) Arnold had been shot in the back and the Intelligence had reanimated his corpse, using him to sabotage operations. In a brief moment of mental freedom, he warned Colonel Lethbridge-Stewart that it was "as if [the fungus] knew what we were up to" but the Intelligence tightened its grip soon after. (PROSE: The Forgotten Son) (TV: The Web of Fear) and responsible for the death of several soldiers. He was killed when the Intelligence was defeated, his body badly burned and charred.
