Rein Unger was born into a smaller noble family and disowned by his father at a young age, forced to become a member of the Volvarian Dragonguard, Rein eventually became personal guard to Del’Gruk III and later aided Del’Drud in his bid for the Volvarian throne during the Mal Rebellion. Rein would end up abandoning Del’Drud before his death and fled to the continent of Duerlyth. There he would rally a large force of Deurlen clansmen to his side, known as the Dimia clan. An entire clan behind him, Rein attempted to destroy the Kingdom of Novania, and avenge Del’Drud's death.
