In the manga the Mew Aqua also has the ability to transform Masha into the Mew Aqua Rod, healing injuries and allowing the Mew Mews to use its power to get rid of environmental problems. It is first introduced by Ryou in volume 2 after the Mew Mews officially become a team. In the manga it's not the cause of Retasu's mermaid transformation (it was was caused by her own determination) due to it happening after the existence of the Mew Aqua was established. In the manga all of the Mew Mews, minus Ichigo, and Masaya/Mark use the Mew Aqua. The order of who uses it are as follows:
