Previous - Divide and Occupy Germany (CYOAH) The invading nations decide that a compromise was the best way to handle this situation. In central Germany, a new German state is proclaimed, its capital in Frankfurt am Main. Most of the rebels settle there, although they still hold contempt for the nations that occupy their homeland. The Soviet Union sees this as their chance. They try to convince Central Germany to turn to communism and join the Soviet Union.
