All Byakugan are shown to be more or less the same. What distinguishes one from the other is the level of insight the user possesses and how proficient they are with using it. For example, all Hyuga can see the chakra pathway system but not all of them can see tenketsu. Another Hyuga may also be able to see further than another: these are all things that can be improved with training though. Himawari is a special case though: when her Byakugan is deactivated her eyes appear to be normal ones with blue irises.
