The Central Galactic Authority, also referred to as the Core Authority, the New Order, or simply the Authority, was an interstellar political and military organization founded in 223 ABY to fill the power vacuum left by the Galactic Federation Triumvirate's collapse. Coming to power during a tumultuous period for the galaxy, the Authority held control over every sector from the Expansion Zone to the Deep Core. Publicly, it was under the leadership of Rellius Umber and Os'hiree'nuruodo but in truth the organization was covertly ruled by Darth Sunder, the Dark Lord of the Sith.
