No. 4626 Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force manages, maintains and trains its personnel for operational readiness in support of RAF requirements for Aeromedical Evacuation, in times of conflict or crisis (under the provision of the “Reserve Forces Act 1996”). 4626 Squadron supports the RAF in the air evacuation of military and civilian personnel from many front line locations around the world. The squadron has previously been deployed to the Gulf War and were most recently engaged in operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
