Crook County is dead center in Wyoming. The county seat is Sundance, Wyoming. Named for Maj. Gen. George Crook, a U.S. Army officer in the American Civil War and wars against the Paiute, Lakota and Chiracahua Apache. Crook County, Oregon is also named after him.
