Along with the FR1620, the FR2620 was the first FR model, with a new body shape reminiscent of the Fender Telecaster. The FR2620 features an ash body and Ibanez Calm Crusher pickups and the Tight-End hard-tail bridge, which is new along with the launch of the FR series. In 2010, the standard Wizard neck was replaced by the new Wizard HP neck.
