A county in the northeast area of the empire, near Fenario. It takes its name from Lake Szurke, which it contains. Vlad Taltos currently holds the title of Count Szurke, but the post is filled by Noish-pa, who lives in a manor house near the main village of the county, which is called Miska. Szurke is also reported to be near a forest which is called the Forbidden Forest. Given its location along the Eastern Mountains, near the Pepperfields, this county is most likely located within the Duchy of Eastmanswatch.
