Penland was a sovereign government established by the Red Brand on an uncolonized world in the Outer Rim shortly after their war with the Galactic Republic. The name Penland later became the name of one of the Red Brand governments that developed on the planet. After the Red Brand Civil War, the name of the planet became Penland.
