Bearsford is a fortified town located in Tortall. It is the last main town on the Great Road North before the Scanran border. It became a fighting force during the Scanran War in 460 HE. Vanget haMinch, the General of the Northern Armies, met incoming knights and soldiers in Bearsford in order to give them their assignments. It showed how urgent this was, as normally they would have gone to Northwatch Fortress, Vanget's headquarters, in order to receive their assignments.
