The Relief of Maidenpool was the final stage of the short-lived War of the Lords Scorned that occurred in 333 AC. Having defeated the rebel forces at the God's Eye, King Aegon VI sent a detachment of men to relieve the port town. Arriving at the castle, they found it well defended, but the rebels were unwilling to put up a fight. Knowing their war was already lost, they surrendered the town to the royal forces, and accepted their punishment.
